Mike is an artist living in North Devon. The local environment has become a constant source of his inspiration. The rural landscape of North Devon with its high hedgerows and narrow roads are a stimulus for Mike's art with such features as overgrown gateways and field hedgerows with majestic oak trees bordering meadows rich in grasses and wild flowers. His work is mainly landscapes in acrylic, charcoal and pen and ink.

Mike Woollacott Mike spent most of his working life in the meat and livestock industry in the North and West Devon area. In 1994 he embarked on an adult art and design course at the North Devon College which led to a part-time degree course in Fine Art at the University of Plymouth. In 2001 Mike completed the degree course and achieved a 2:1 in Fine Art also he had work purchased by the University of Plymouth.
